The Horween Leather Company has been making high quality, naturally tanned leather since 1905. Isadore Horween first saw leathers at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair and decided he could do better. Since then five generations of Horweens have been producing leather in Chicago, IL, USA. The Horween Leather Company is one of the few tanneries in the USA that still does the whole process in-house.

The Marucci Horween JW3: After a year on anticipation, the @ball__gloves Limited Batch Marucci Horween JW3 arrived. This release features no industrial-style pattern stamping, and a Horween Leathers stamp on the palm liner. It’s a photogenic glove.

There were two original Horween prototypes of which I am aware. One has the industrial pattern stamping and the other has the Horween Leathers stamp on the backshell (Photo display #3). The latter has been gamed by @_jordanthompson_24 of LSU this past NCAA baseball season (see Photo #2).

Thanks to @glovecowboy and @ball__gloves for bringing this pattern to being. Also, much appreciation to Mr Jordan Thompson #24 for answering questions about his gloves – my son and I both watch what we can find of LSU baseball on YouTube now. #MarucciMade #glovecowboy
